What is the SWV VHS Archive?
The SWV VHS Archive is an online reference and collection database dedicated to documenting VHS releases from Something Weird Video.
Visitors can browse the archive to view known VHS releases, cover artwork, tape labels, catalog information, release details, collections, and other available information about each tape.

Browse the VHS Archive
Search, filter, and view documented Something Weird Video VHS releases.
View Tape Details
See release information, cover scans, tape-label images, notes, catalog numbers, release years, and other known details.
Create Your Own Tape Inventory
Registered users can add releases from the archive to My Tapes to keep track of the SWV VHS tapes they own.
Submit Missing Releases
Registered users can submit tapes that are not yet documented in the archive, including release information and images.
Export Lists
My Tapes and Browse Tapes lists can be exported as CSV, JSON, or plain-text files.
Search as You Type
The main search helps locate releases quickly by suggesting matching tape titles.
Special Release Information
Listings can identify Special Edition releases and releases that are no longer associated with Something Weird Video.
How submissions work
New tape submissions are reviewed before becoming part of the public archive. Moderators and administrators can verify information, edit listings, organize releases into collections, and maintain the accuracy of the archive.
You do not need an account to browse the archive. Creating a free account gives you access to your personal My Tapes inventory and allows you to contribute new tape listings.
The goal of the SWV VHS Archive is simple: document, organize, and preserve information about Something Weird Video's VHS history while giving collectors an easy way to explore and track their own collections.
